if there is such.... how much would an 85' honda atc 250r engine by it self be worth if it was completely new with no oil or gas run through it and completely no hours on it.....? and what would your concerns be about it? do i need to look for anything?

awesome find ! does it kick over ? is it complete except for an exhaust ? what is the deal with it ? alot depends on how much a person wants to spend as we hear all the time and how much the seller wants ? ya know... ive found a few deals over the years and bought some and turned some down just because i didnt need the item ! but these engines are sought after so if u caN GET A DEAL ON IT GET IT !!!!!!!!!!!

well heres the deal i been trying to place an order to bdt motorsports outta california, the completely rebuild the 250r's but never could completely get through to them, so i come up on this deal outta cali too, found it on ebay. so i just bought it, its actually shipping right now as we speek, so i can't really tell you anything about it be sides, he said the clutch cable was cut and the wiring harness 4in. out the motor (wow really), he said the person he got it from actually was in the middle of outlawing the 3 wheeler scene and the shops were taking them apart quickly, i know that sounds strange to me. anyways he wanted 1800 but talked him down to 1500, so hope i'm making out good on this one. complete except for the exhaust. suppose to be ready to bolt up ..........

You paid just about or a little over what they typically go for on ebay. You didn't get ripped off by any means.

Not to bad on price, you may want to pressure check it before you run it. If it passes that test I would check it again after a little ridding. Those crank seals are still over 20 years old. Good luck.

first thing i would do while its still clean,,,,, change all the seals.. why take a chance of blowing it up because of a leaking seal,,, its new so change all the OLD soft parts ,,,,,,
