350x in a 300ex. I believe you can still get the pipe and parts from powroll.

thanks. would anything else work? motor wise? im sure im going to go with a 350x whole rear end. but i was maybe looking at a cr250f motor or maybe even 2 stroke motor such as a trx250r or lt250r motor. not quite sure yet. hoping to get more comments to help with my descision

IMO the 350x rear end on a 250x/300ex is a bad idea. The 350x swingarm is narrower then the 250x if I remember right, and you need t run a spacer between the swingarm and the frame....and all for nothing really.

What we used to do was to add 250R linkage mounts to the 250x frame and get HRE to make us 250x plus2'' swingarms that had the R shock mount built into it.

Then we did this.

The end result was a 400ex size chassis before Honda ever made the 400ex.

sorry guys for not posting this in the quad section i was just in a rush to post this. but from swigin's pictures it looks like i might wanna move to a 250r frame. i was only using the 300ex frame cause i had a extra one just laying around. but the 350x swing arm is 3/4 of a inch narrower than the 300ex i believe. i was just suggesting the 350x parts cause i have a few extra parts laying around from a resotration on my 350x i did before it got stolen a couple months back. i might try it out on a 300ex frame first to see how well it works out then just switch it over to a 250r frame.

A 350x motor in a R frame is a bad idea for many reasons. The 250x/300ex frames are nice since they are made for a 4 stroke. the R frame is thinner and will break and crack up. As far as stock frames go you can't beat a 250x/300ex frame.

You do not have to lengthen the 250x frame like I did but it makes it handle SO much better.
