I'm a cheap trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotr ailpro so I think it's over priced but that depends on inspection.

Where are the skid plates? Are the mounts ripped off like so many of them?
How are the brakes? Are all the brake parts there and functioning including the parking brake?
What's the tank really like? That little rust spot in the one picture is right where they rust and leak from the inside out.
How are the bearings?
How's the chaing/sprockets?

This is all stuff you can't see from pics and cost $$ to make right. For $1000, a first gen X needs to be damn near perfect.

I agree that it all depends on the actual condition and feel of the bike. BUT, correct me if I'm wrong, it looks to have a wider rear axle and if the engine is that fresh you will be getting a good bike. Sure you may be able to find one for $600, but will it be as nice...or do you want to spend time and money later fixing up?

Price is always relative...

I found one for 250$ and that one. The one for 250 has the motor torn apart and in a box. he doesn't even know if all the pieces are there and the rear fenders/skid plate is missing. I was just curious. I haven't seen it yet so I wanted some opinions before I even tried. Thanks for the info!

i used to have the same one and i sold it for 750 and i had 2 tanks and new tires and an extra shock and had all skid plates and brakes all worked. for him being FIRM at 950 jus my opinion i think its too much. around me u can get a honda atc 250r year 84 in good shape for 1000 and below. not trying to be an ass but in my opinion i think its too much. hope this helps. i guess its just all in what u want and how much your willing to spend. around me 200x dnt go for that much not unless they are mint

I have bought several 200x's and the nicest one I ever bought was 750. That one looks to be about 650-700 IMO.

Yea I decided it wasn't worth it. 975$ is an awful lot for that. I found a mint 85 yt125 and the guy is asking 1750$! I am however going to pick up a what looks like a 79 atc110 tomorrow. starter broke and tires are worn. It's been sitting outside for 3 years. I am trading it for an 11 year old self propelled mower my coworker gave to me. 141511

That sounds like a good deal, especially if you can get it running. If it is the recoil (pull start assembly) that broke, PM me, I have one sitting around here that should fit.

cool thanks! I will let you know. He said he pulls the chord but it doesn't crank the engine. I am hopefully going to pick it up tomorrow night.
