Have you ever gone to a gun shop with a friend "just to look" and you end up leaving with a random gun you don't need? I have!

2 days ago My friend and I went because he wants to buy his first gun with his tax return, and since our buddy works there (owned by his grandfather) we went just so he could get an idea on what he wanted. Before I knew it I was filling out a purchase form :Bounce  :p

This was my first time filling it out on my own, my first gun was bought by my dad. I was delayed purchase for 2 days (I was a little freaked out at first but then realized how random and common it can be)

85 bucks later I picked up my "Springfield Mod. 944 series A" made by Savage
Its a single shot 20 gauge, not sure on the year yet since i just got home with it.

Barrel has also been cut to 18.5" so i may put a bead on at some point but for now its a nice lil beater gun that is small enough for my mom and sister to use. This May be what I needed to finally get them into shooting :D

First, there's no such thing as a gun you don't need!! ;)

Second, nice lil boom-boom-stick.. I love a single shot scatter-gun! :)

It appears to be made from 1936 to 1942 (from a few sites googling around)
looks like 85 bucks is the average worth of these guns

Ill be shooting it tomorrow, can't wait!

18 inches is the minimum for shotguns, so its popular to cut down to 18.5 just to keep the law happy.
16 inches is the minimum for rifles.
