Ok so I've read a lot about the xr200 parts, top end, transmission, camshaft, and I don't kno what else? Can be swapped into the atc200 engine. I'm wondering specifics? Most of what I read referred to the atc200x. I have a 1984 atc200s, and I am wondering which parts fit my model specifically, and which ones are worth swapping to make more power, or just run better? I like the idea of a 6 speed, but I think I need the 200x bottom end. Looking for all info on this subject, just want to know the best way to go about getting the most out of my atc.

On a 200s its just the top end and carb . The tranny will work on a 200x but I don't recommend putting 6 gears were 5 used to be because their not meant for a heavy load of a 3 wheeler axle and drive trane .

Cool, thanks. The cam would change too, right? Oh well I guess if you did the topend it would be in there. And how beneficial would it be to do the topend, which would give it .5 mm bigger bore? And he carb? I have a dg rcm exhaust I havent put on yet too. would doing all that make a great difference?

The gear ratio are even the same until 6ths gear.

The 6 speed xr tranny has been tried many a time in a 200x motor and it always fails so I guess its your turn LOL . Think I just make this stuff up ?
Might be OK for a flatracker but if you do MX it will fail !!!!!

I didn't think you made anything up I have seen your work I respect that you know more then me and that you have gone throught the trials and errors before. The xr tranny should hole up for light to midl trail riding every other weekend. Just remember I am a dumb kid who rides a trike that is 9years older then him and who thinks he knows everthing because he took a small engine class in high school. Sorry your making your day alittle worse by having to deal with kids like me
