I guess I'm not enough of a 70 guy to understand the chain to scratch the crap out of the fr fender? Very nice machine other than that!!

I think the links are welded to form a rigid prop to push the fender forward so that it doesn't hit on the head... so instead it rubs on the chain. That's all I can figure.
Im thinking the chain was originally probably a front motor mount, kind of like the atc110. I see atc110 pegs on it as well. Thats what i run on my 125cc 70, w high bars it feels really comfortable.
I think it looks like a fun little 70.. would prob be close what it would cost to build a bigbore 70, and its turn key!

Yeah, I got an e-mail back from the seller..
"The chain was used to support a fully restored Honda 125m engine. Due to engine parts cost etc I removed it And sold it for a bucket of money."
