Hi all, I just purchased a DG exhaust system for my 83 200x.My bike is completely stock besides a uni filter. I was told that i would need to rejet my carb in
order for my machine to run correctly when running an aftermarket exhaust. I had someone recommend this to me and was wanting to get others opinions on this:

142159

Need to do-

Buy a bigger main jet, should go up 2 sizes so stock is a 110 so i should purchase a 112.. Correct?

Buy a lager pilot,stock would be a 40 so i should purchase a 42.. Correct?

Drop needle down 1 click..?

Thank you for the help!

yes put on the exhaust with a fresh plug and see what it does you going for a happy medium between dark and a whitish brown color but remember that rich is better than lean any day

Sorry for the belate response. Don't change the pilot. Change the main to a 112. Run, through all gears...does it bog? If not your main is good for 3/4 throttle. Run it again through all gears for about 20-30 minutes. Pull the plug. What color is it? Tan=perfect, black=rich, white=lean. If its black drop the needle one click. If its white raise the needle one click. Keep testing the needle position until its tan.
