In the process of getting my new project up and running again. Yesterday I took the carb off for cleaning. I followed the instructions for that from the clymer manual. I put some new gas in the tank and put the carb back on and crossed my fingers. The good news is that it fired right up within a couple pulls. I havent got a new battery for it yet for the electric start. I had to quickly shut it off though because the gas was pouring right out of one of the vent tubes. More specifically the vent tube that is right above the choke assembly. Maybe I put something back together wrong or something is out of adjustment. I am not a carb wizard so any advice would be awesome.

sounds like the float isn't set properly. I had a tri z do that to me. I re-adjusted the float and all was good

Could it be possible that I have the float in upside-down? If not how do I tell if the float is stuck?

Ok so take the carb off , make sure there is no gas in it then tip it upside down and try to blow in the were the gas comes in. You should not be able to blow through it when its upside down and you should be able to blow through it when its right side up I do not think you can put your float in uspide down you may also need a new needle and seet and carb rebuild kit runs about 20 bucks on ebay WELL WORTH IT

I always blow into the fuel inlet and turn them over before I put them back on.
so x2 with 200xman on that .

Also gotten lucky by a few drops of 2 stroke oil in the fuel line, open the float bowl drain and blow the oil past the float valve.

Sometimes it actually works to help them seat and stop leaking.

As far as float being in upside down?
I think it would look real funny and the bowl would be hard to put back on.
There is usually a 'high water mark' or a line on the float where gas has been staining it for years and may give you a clue.

Real manuals can be found in the 'world class help' section.

on a side note check over the float very carefully, as I believe that is a non adjustable float, look for cracks, and any broken arms on it.

the float could also have a crack/ hole in it alowing it to not float to the top to shut the fuel off

if there is damage on the float, it can be repaired with devcons plastic welder 2, just use light amounts to avoid weighing it down
