85 atc running rich

whats up, picking up a honda 1985 185 and supposedly its been bored over to make it a 200. but its running rich and fouling out the plugs. last time i rode these honda three wheelers i was like 7 and im 23 now. im looking for a project and this is one thing i would really enjoy and bring back memories. any ideas on what to check in to?

burning oil or air fuel mix too rich? If its burning oil and smoking then a overhaul is the obvious answer. usually the air/fuel needs to be WAY off to foul plugs in a 4 stroke, check all simple things over first, make sure air filter is clean, fresh fuel, new plug, open carb and give it a good cleaning and make sure no parts are missing.

Do everything tri moto man said. Also, make sure it is jetted correctly, if you bought it from somebody in a different altitude or weather conditions that is probably the problem. There is a thread specifically on carb jetting, you should check it out it has a lot of information in it.
