the title says it all, i cleaned the CDI a little bit, just the surface, the little thing that spins on both ends, and the little sensor at the top, im 90% that its grounded.

Is this trike new to you?
Have you ever heard it run?
or did it just quit one day?
The search key will get you tons of info in one blast.
Try 200es no spark, or intermittent spark.

snag a manual in the 'world class help' section.
Try to find a 3 dollar voltmeter and you'll be able to ohm out a bunch of components.

The thing under the cover that says 'cdi' is a pickup that tells the coil when to throw spark.
it wants to read like 20 ohms from the 2 wires that come out.

That kinda stuff is fun and will save you from replacing perfectly good parts.
and it's all in the free manuals avail here.

Do you have a battery in it, and are you trying to start it with the electric starter? The only reason I ask is because I've had issues in the past on mine when trying to pull start it (with the recoil starter) without a battery installed. I'm not sure if this was due to something being wrong on my machine or by design.

brand new battery which i love, wont start by recoil starting or by electric start.

You can also try the search key for words like.
No spark, intermittent spark.
It's not a bad idea to read about different models with the same problem if they pop up.

I have 2 of the 200es models.
One with no spark and the other was perfect.
I had the luxury of swapping KNOWN working parts, coil, sensors, cdi etc etc.
It had no spark with the electric start but it did with the pull start. SOMEtimes.

Turned out to be a bad ground in the kill switch.
If you look at the wire diagram, the kill switch grounds to kill it and also provides the ground for the CDI unit for it TO run.

Drove me nutts for weeks.
As you'll see in the search key, some folks have changed entire wire harnesses only to admit that they were probably ok but simply by the fact that they had to go through each and EVERY
electrical connection, they magically work.

Been there, Not fun but I learned a lot.

Please keep us posted.

Ok i have it where it runs, the solenoid is messed up and i just put a switch in it to bypass it and now it starts, wasn't the cdi just a simple solenoid just the carb sucks so i have to get a kit for it
