Look what I found, a vintage 1974 CR125 Elsinor. this bike is identical to the first 125 race bike I ever owned, wow brings back a lot of memories.

Youd love watching Vintage Motocross if for nothing other than to see the old relics in the pits. The class is for 1974 and older. We see old Elsinores, a TM250, there are two mint Maicos, a couple Yamaha DT's, and one guy even has a Penton. I get fashbacks just watching.

Ahh yes, the TM250 Suzuki Champion, I still remember the advertisement for that bike, it had Joel Roberts factory 250 bike setting next to it saying
"This is the closest you can ever get to to real Champion"
I got one when I was 16, it threw me around like a rag doll........lol. How about it's big brother, the TM 400 Cyclone, Dirt Bike called it "the pogo stick on wheels."

Am I showing my age????

Happy Trails

LOL! Either your age, or your size! When I was 16 I was driving around my '74 TM100 which was a few years old, and IT was whipping me around like rag doll. I very much remember the TM400 "deathtraps". Like driving an ATC70 with a Banshee motor on it! Those things made the medical profession profitable back then. Ahhhh ... what i wouldnt give to be hurting myself on one now................

Yup, the 400 was a monster, instant uncontrolable horsepower....lol. About the only thing they were good for was a wheelie bike or drag racing some unsuspecting open bike rider of another make. They were great for following and watching the rider swap ends farther and farther until he went down in a cloud of dust (I saw quite a few.lol) When I think of ill handling, thats the first bike I think about..........a flash of Orange and then a cloud of dust....................those were the days.
Dirt bike riders now days have no idea of what us old men went through, did you ever feel like we were test rats riding those old bikes, we were just to dumb to know any better............................
