the funny thing is after I watched the video,The next day my 12 y/o asked me how long it takes to travel 80 miles at 80mph. I figured she seen the video but it turns out she is learning about it in school this week.

My X girlfriend was an RN in the trauma unit of an emergency room. She was nowhere close to being stupid but didn't know stuff like that. We were on a road trip once going to meet up with some friends on the way, then follow each other the rest on the way. The friends were waiting at an exit and she was on the phone with them letting them know where we were. She asked how long it would take us to get to exit xxx. Knowing we were at mile marker xxx and driving 75MPH, I told her it would take so many minutes ( I don't remember the numbers ). She told them what I said and then hang up the phone, then asked me how I knew. Come to find out, she didn't understand MHP or the exits were numbered by miles and had no idea that if you were at mile marker 8 going to exit 20 it was 12 miles away or that it would take 12 minutes to get there at 60MPH.

I know lots of smart stupid people,I am one.That should be something someone learns when they get thier drivers permit.i've had my license for almost 20 yrs,,,I guess kids just use gps these days.
