As far as parts go,what years are easier to get them for??? "84/"85 or ?"86/"87???

That's true, but if you are lucky enough to get a second gen then don't hesitate to do so, all the main parts that are needed to ride are not too hard to find and there are a lot of repro parts and aftermarket parts being made for them as well as the first gen models. If you are looking to do a 100% oem build then the 1st gen is the easier one of the 2.
