bogging down ??? HELP!!!

ok so i got my new rings and motor is put back together and running but when i go to ride it and i get into it it wants to bog down on me in out of ideas and really could use some ideas of how to fix this problem its an 85 Yamaha TRI Moto 200

check the main needle for wear and straightness, also make sure the mix screw is 1 7/8 turns out from seat. put in a new plug , drain and put fresh fuel in it. Have you checked and cleaned the carb, could be something as simple as float height,or a plugged main jet. Also have you cleaned the fuel tank or fuel lines? dirt in the lines or petcock will prevent fuel flow. Either way I would definitely start with carb and work my way from there to the electrical. when you check the main needle, look in the throttle valve and make sure the circlip is in the middle notch and the w clip is still in place holding the needle in place.
