building a +6 swinger

first of all is the stock pro link aluminum? and then do i just cut and weld 6 inch peices to it and call it done?

I wish it was that easy, everyone would do it!! No its not aluminum. I am pretty sure the later model TRX has a stock aluminum swinger. I just saw a thread yesterday that a guy extended a stock one but used two to do it. I wanted to try it but i was having problems with where it goes to the bearing housing because it comes to an angle. Im not a pro fabricator so this may be an easy job for someone who is. I actually just got a +9 trx swinger and it will just need a little fab work where the pivot bolt goes through to make it work for the rear motor mount.
