Congrats to the Canuk members here!! The long gun registry was killed in Canada yesterday, just needs to be signed by the Governor General today. Nice to see you guys getting some freedom back. Are any of you going to have a registration card burning party?? Labatts and Molson's all around!!!

I've been waiting for years for this! God damn gun registry was the biggest load of money grabbing shlt i've ever seen.
They say they did it to prevent crime. But, how often do you see someone committing a crime with a long gun? Its all pistols and smg's which are already banned.
Will be shooting a shlt load of my unregistered guns this weekend. LOL

Did it actually get passed??? Didnt think it would ever happen......liberals would be forcing us to register kitchen knives and golf clubs by now!

Outlawing any weapon doesn't change a thing. The people who follow the laws aren't the problem, the criminals are and they don't care about laws and rules.

I'll let my dad know about this..he has had about 4-5 rifles of various caliber hiding in a grandfather clock for the last 15 years.
He was afraid to let them see the light of day since the rifles were not registered..all acquired over the years prior to manditory registration from various auctions.
He'll be happy, he's a law abiding man!!

My last trip north, the canadian kidz said that your hunting tools
stay at the cop shop and you go down and 'borrow' your own and then return it when done.
Like going to the library.
Here, they want to publish a list of registered carry permit people.
My vote is for a list of criminals that have guns.

Yep if they (the government) could have proved to me without a doubt that the registry saved ONE life, I'd support it. Other than that they can jam it. Too bad it can't save the thousands of guns cut up during the amnesty period. I know, I delivered them to our weapons techs in the military to carry out the dubious honour :-(
