View Full Version : What kind of products do you want to see in the 3WW Shop?

Just query'ing, what other types of products do you guys want to see in the store? If we had an array of items like a large mail order catalog, would you be more apt to buy from us than them if the pricing was competitive? What sort of stuff do you find yourself ordering on a regular basis for your trike that we could list in the shop?

I am a sucker for 200x aftermarket components or dress up items. I know this is pretty specific, my apologies. If it was price competitive, I would like to see polished re-pops (gas caps, case savers, wheels, lower fork tubes, tripples, etc). Seat covers would be cool as well. Also, I don't think it would be hard to start re-poping the old school low-pro fenders. All we would need is a mock up set and someone to build them for us. I know many people that would buy a set!!!

X2, maybe air and oil filters too. And gaskets. The kind of parts that need replaced regularily. If i gotta order something, i'd sooner support the site.

I'd like to see someone putting together fastener kits for trikes. I've seen the them on ebay. The better sets are over $100 and they have some cheap ones that doesn't look bike specific. I personally am willing to pay more for items like this from withing the 3 wheeler world than I am other places. I have a friend who runs an indie shop that I order almost all my parts from. I can buy the stuff a little cheaper online but supporting someone who is more than a paypal address is well worth any extra cost. I see the vendors here the same way.

I'm with him the more 200x aftermarket parts the better especially the smaller things all polished or chromed out to give a 200x some pop

Just an FYI. On ebay you can check as a guest, go through paypal and just use your debit card. It's basically just using your debit card like you would at any online store.

A Polaris section for sure! Also, brake pads/shoes, filters, brake cables/lines, spark plugs. The stuff you cant get on ebay for cheap, if you can do the same thing here, I would buy from 3ww over eBay.

This is what I've been wondering. I don't expect to make a mint off the odds and ends, but I'm wondering if I listed more stuff along those lines if people would get in the habit of buying it through here and not on ebay.

Great feedback here so far guys...keep it coming!

I would like to buy oil filters in bulk and would give my money to you and 3ww than ebay billy. Also since a lot of the honda machines share the same oil fliters, you could get a good amount in bulk, you could pass the savings to the members and still make some money. Pads, are another thing you could do well on since it seems like they just never last very long. But so far, the parts store is working out very very well I believe.

I would absolutely buy my parts from here rather than other sources! Even if say for example a part is $20 on Ebay, I would willingly pay a couple bucks more to support this community.

If shipping is honest, actual shipping plus a little extra for packaging materials and time, that weighs heavily with me as well.

Billy, I WILL be buying a +4 or +6 swingarm from you as soon as I can shake the loose change out of the wife. I have shopped around and after seeing your product and what you charge my decision is made. It's just a matter of building up the funds again.

I like the idea of regular maintenance items like others suggested. Again, I would certainly buy from here rather than elsewhere, every time.

Direct Links to solid vendors...like CosmicQuads. I've ordered stainless bolt kits and will in the future...so a vendor for that could be helpful. Grips to Gear maybe the BigBox online stores could throw 3WW chip discounts on group buys with multi shipping destonations...for example helmets, boot, gloves, jersey and pant offers or closeout items in multi pack orders. Even if we use a less larger online store atv/mc vs Shadetree?

Some of the firmer straps was not holding up so the Mrs. pulled from store and switched to a slightly softer material with good results coming back in from a some members test straps went out too.
I decided to see what extreme abuse they will take. Basically made for 350X shell i will be remaking and have been known to work on 250SX and now should be able to handle the slightly larger 250R liquid forks,,,, big inverts, well lets see what 24 hours from now tells us.
Look for them in the parts store under 350X and 250R

I hit buy it now,I better have it within 2 days. I know all the people making these parts have jobs and lives outside of 3ww but what if the part is not made already note it with a delivery time 6-8 weeks or whatever (maybe longer for hagen) It would just be nice to see ALL that is made and available

how about services offered by various members? Maybe just a list and contact info for each since it would be impossible to put a price on.

Owning a business myself one thing that has given me longetivity is variety...While there are some hard to find parts, there should also be maintenance items such as air filters, colored fuel lines, etc. I would support the site before a major ecommerce even if some prices were a bit higher in order to support the 3ww community. I would also like to see what services members offer, IE: polishing, porting, etc. That would give the consumer a one stop shop approach instead of being the source for a few parts , the 3 wheel guys would shop here for tires, filters, shrouds, etc and the big companies would be the ones getting the scraps instead of 3ww. The more services you offer and products the less the big chains stock these items ultimately developing you into the source.
word ... In addition a seasonal mail out flyer should be created and done via email with specials and new products along with tech tips, this will increase your market at virtually no cost...

How about headlight bulbs for a 350X? Maybe some with higher actual wattage than the 35/35 stockers?
The H6M aka HM202 bulbs were hard to find locally for some reason. Since I have to mail order them, might as be from here.

What about a used part section?! I would rather buy from an honest seller here than on ebay. I have some spare parts I don't exaclty need, but I can't stand listing things on ebay with their huge fees and such.

In the last 2 months I have had at least a dozen customers or callers asking me if I know where they could find a good 350x muffler/exhaust.
I have a guy looking into it but not sure he could make them as good as factory for a cheap enough price. It seem the majority want a factory pipe and nothing real loud. I guess we are all getting older! I would probably buy on as well for a spare. Anybody interested in trying to build a few for a trial please be my guest....
