my 1984 atc 110 just got put back togethter, new cylinder, piston, valves, and brand new carb. idles wonderful but will not accelerate at all unless on full choke. what could be the issue?

I have an '85 110 that acted that way once. I swore I had a carb issue. Turned out to be ignition timing was off. Put the timing light on it and adjusted the timing and ran like a watch.

I have tried that also, the only thing left to do is to see if my valve timing is off. maybe it slipped 1 tooth on me but I don't even know if that would cause these symptoms. aggravated:(

Well, if you have eliminated everything else it would be worth checking valve timing.

But before you do that, have you verified good fuel flow from the tank to the carb? Not to be insulting, just looking to help cover all the bases. I have been known to overlook the simpler things from time to time myself.

yes, just installed new tank , new lines and filters as well. no insult taken:cool:. going to check the valve timing tomorrow hopefully that will be the problem.

problem solved! for anyone having a similar problem. Make sure to leave your air restriction tube intact unless you plan on jetting your carb. Put the tube back in and now running like a champ!:w00t:

I'm having same problem. What is an air restriction tube?
