Some things end and begin for different people. My Roadking and trailer leave and 57 chevy arrives. Thank you Jason for making this happen. I hope you and your family are happy.144853144854

Don't let Jason fool you, he still has another 57 left! Jason, having a little run around with the tag place. Apparantly tags in 15 minutes is bs. I hope to have tags tomorrow. Now I just need some metal plates for the driveway! LOL You should have seen the look of the 2 (workers) in the tag place when I handed them the registration and told them that you said that was all that was needed. Priceless. That bike will run if you twist on the throttle. The exhaust doesn't get real noisy until you twist the throttle either, but it sounds really nice. It's not real loud at idle, like other exhausts are. Those Rinehart exhausts are designed by a guy that is known for his Nascar exhaust systems. They make nice power. With the Mikuni carb and the better intake filter, they make a nice power combo. Oh, and with the dual full floating front disc brakes, you can lock up both front and back brakes at will. Nice if you need them, which around Baltimore, you do. The other neighbor across the street, the homeland security guy was out when I got home today and he was all over me about the car. LOL He's got a 71 camaro in his back garag
e, that I've heard about but never seen. He just had to have a look and hear the 57 fire up. My buddy at work with the Chevelle, he's fired up about going for a ride in the 57 and wants to go hit up the gathering at the Mall real soon and said he could tolerate being picked up in the 57, even though it has such a small engine! LOL He said he could almost drive it if I begged him enough. LOL I guess you made it ok as I lost your phone signal again. Didn't know if you could get caught up on sleep. Don't forget to send your buddys website addres for the tri 5 stuff and the number for that speedo cable. Put in a good word for me with him. I'll be buying parts real soon. Thanks again. Pics will be posted soon enough.

dang, Clean. that's one nice 57 you've got there. :beer

Veal, that looks like a great project for you and your boy to work on together. you going keep it a custom resto mod? :beer

my brother has a 48 FleetMaster that he and i are wanting to restore, but even though it's 90-95%original there's so much work needing done we think we might be a little over our heads with it. still running the 6volt system and have to replace the points and starter contact basicly everytime you try to start it after sitting a bit, but it does run and drive. he picked it up from my cousin after my uncle passed away. only thing we've found that has been done to it is 1 respray.

Jon Boy, Those 2 good looking guys are Jason Smay and his oldest son (co-pilot on the trip) Mickey. I have no kids. I just wanted to get pics of Jason and his son with the trailer (with Harley inside) and Mickey and by the 57 they dropped off for me. The 57 needs a couple bits, but is a turn-key car. Small projects that will be fun. No big projects, cause I have enough of those. Car is a great driver. I was thinking of a couple improvements as well, maybe even as far as an engine swap (348/409). May even go as far as selling a Tiger 250 to do all that I want to do. It's been a while since I had a really neat car to play with.

145489145490145491145492I had the 57 out today. Tags installed. I took my buddy The Great Gazoo out and we took a little cruise. Hit breakfast and stopped by the shoe store for him afterwards. People were sure gawking over the car. It hasn't got me laid yet though! LOL
