Hi everyone, great site. I grew up with 3 wheelers and am now 36. I have gotten back into them recently as I was looking for a quad and thought.....Why not a 3 wheeler. I looked into the legality of owning them and using them on trails and found they aren't illegal after all......Started looking at craigslist and found a bunch around me. The rest is history. I now have a refurbished (by me) '85 big red and a project '84 200x. I got the big red because I wanted something with racks and have always liked them at they are big and stout (I'm 6'5"). I got the 200x because that is the exact model we had when I was a kid. The 200x runs good but I need to adjust the valves soon and also need to figure out why it is slipping in and out of 3rd at higher rpm's. Eventually, it will get new plastics, new grab bar, new handlebars, new tires, etc.

Bot great looking machines. Welcome back to the world of 3 wheelers. I am a newish 3 wheeler guy and I love it. I like the big reds due to their size too, but recently bought a Polaris 3 wheeler (like a big red but a 2 stroke, with racks).

im really quite jealous of that big red you have there. my nieghbour has a '86 big red with fenders from a 185 cut to fit and zip tied to his racks so they will stay there... and his is the best ive seen in a long time! his bike works solid but it doesnt look near as good as yours :P

Thanks, mine has all new plastics. I had to get a different rack and frame because the originals were bent. I found a parts bike for $20 with engine. It may be my next project after I straighten the frame.
