I would guess 5,000 plus. I have NEVER seen anywhere close to that many wheelers on the Tug before! It was busier than a really busy snowmobile weekend up there.. Each and every stop we hit (Montague Inn, Flat Rock, Timberview, Tuggers) had at least 4-500 wheelers present.

I didnt make it again this year .Didnt get insurance and registration done in time.I heard there is going to be a poker run May 5 anyone going on that. Its to raise money for the local trail system. And theres a poker run in Theresa on April 28.The last time I went on the Snirt run in 2010 there where around 2500 riders .Its doubled in a few years Wow.I have some pics I will post up from when I went.I didnt see any other trikes that time.

Tug is awesome Mr. Raffa! I will admit, being as crowded as it was yesterday it kind of limited how crazy you could get in terms of riding aggressively and haulin a little tail here and there. It's much less crowded in the regular riding season during the summer. You can easily do a 100+ mile loop from your drop point if you have the fuel capacity to support it! :naughty:

Well, I think the reason there were so many wheelers is because there was zero snow. I saw more trikes yesterday than I have in the 2 previous years of rising up there. I saw 2 other 250r trikes, a 250sx and a couple of 1st gen 200x. Might have been a couple more I am forgetting, but it was darn cool to see other trikes for once! I was wondering if it was any of you guys. I need to get me some 3ww stickers to put on my machines so if I ever do happen across any members up there it will be a good ice-breaker. :)

I saw trailer after trailer of machines, heading your way on friday. I work in hudson (live in schoharie) I'm assuming they were all down staters. I will not stereo- type here, but the 30,000 dollar rigs heading your way didn't come from my parts lol...

I tell you what... It was way cool how many thumbs up, fist pumps and whatnot I got riding my trike up there. People spend umpteen thousands on big 4x4's and side by sides and what gets all the attention is the old trikes!

My brother in law (Beadle350x) kept saying he swore I grew female chest parts and was riding around topless for all the attention I was getting..

I have only been there on snowmobile rides, I plan on going next year, what am I better off with? the 350x or the 250r ? fuel range would be my only concern. as you are aware of the difference between the 2 and there difference in thirst.

Well, if there was enough snow for sleds to run the SNIRT this year I wouldn't have gone at all...

As far as fuel range, if you have a 6-pack rack on your R and can carry a 2 gallon can with you, you will have plenty of range. Now, mine was sucking the fuel down like crazy yesterday, being a 350 and jetted fat for finishing break-in. I was only getting about 17mpg! LOL!

With the X, you will be able to fuel up about anywhere. But you probably won't need to due to the MPG that will get. If you don't have the ability to carry 2 gallons of your pre-mix with you for the R, I would probably ride the X...
