hey i got a 200m three wheeler with a 300cc 2 stroke moter. it starts , runs, and drives fine. lights work. it goes pretty good...about 85kph. i broke the pull cord this morning but its all there need the rope. needs a front tire as well. plastics are in decent shape. fun lil toy.
has a fair size dent in the tank too.... dont leak tho and paint is not chiped.
550 obo.
justin.
can bum start and ride all day....
Is this Wicked cool or Not!? and for that price, $550 may be a good deal if all it needs is a recoil rope and front tire. Can anyone Tell what the engine is from and how well it has been installed? Also, i know it's not a 82' M, M's weren't till 84', tank kinda looks like a BR but no front Suspension so my guess is that if it is a 1982 than a Plane Jane 1982 ATC 200 with a tank from something else cause the old Reguler 200 models said 200 on the side of the tank. Anyone here have a better guess as to what it may really be and what it may be worth As Is?

The cylinder / head looks real small for a 300cc. In fact it looks like a yam125-175 motor to me. Waste of time IMO. Never liked the 125-175 yami's.
The tank to me ( off the top of my head ) looks to be a 84 200m.

definatly 125-175 yammy motor.... sitting at a bad angle also... the oil cap should be level with the ground which is making all the oil go to the back of the transmission right now horrible job of installing it. and since i dont see a airfilter or end pipe on it and ran it that way the engine is junk... NOT worth 300 bucks

Also, that would be retarded. Who wants to ride a hard tail two stroke?

Replyed to the ad and said this to let the guy know what the guy got:

Hi, Just to let you know, that's not a 300cc engine, it's likely a Yamaha 125-175 engine and also, the first year of the 200m was 1984 so it's not a 1982. the tank looks like a tank off of a 1984 200s unless it's been painted because the decals on the side of the tank is the same for the 84 200m and 200s except where the dark blue is would be orange if it was a 200m. AND the front end got no shocks, the only 200 series that had no front shocks was the 1981 and 1982 200 (Just 200, no letter added). It appears to a mix match of parts from diffrent bikes and a smaller engine from a diffrent manufacturer. Please Visit http://www.3wheelerworld.com for more info, my username is Lord Letto 20.

I'll Let you guy's know when/if i get a reply back from him.

replyed back with this:

hi, i was just wondering if you can get a Engine Number and Frame Number so i could look it up? I Posted it up on a 3 wheeler fourm i'm a member of and one guy said it looks like a Yamaha 125-175 engine that's been installed wrong. Plus i know that there is no 1982 200M, the 200M was only around for the 1984-85 model years. I also done some looking around at some of the Brochures and specs on the Site also and here is some oddities i found: tank looks like a tank off of a 1984 200s unless it's been painted because the decals on the side of the tank is the same for the 84 200m and 200s except where the dark blue is would be orange if it was a 200m. AND the front end got no shocks, the only 200 series that had no front shocks was the 1981 and 1982 200 (Just 200, no letter added). my guess is that you have a 1982 200 with parts from other bikes and therefore it's likely not worth what you're asking. if you wantto check it out yourself go to http://www.3wheelerworld.com, here is the link to the Thread i posted up asking about it: http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthread.php/142963-1982-HONDA-200M-WITH-300cc-2-STROKE-550

he replyed back with this:

i honestly have no idea about the bike.... i bought it this way and i dont want it. thats all. i not in a hurry to sell it so i will just keep if need be. i was told thats what it is...drove it twice now seem quick and runs good. i will get cash for it
