Hello, My husband and I buy, repair, and sell atv's for a living. I stumbled upon a VERY nice Garage kept, 1 owner,145458 good running 1977 atc90. It was an accident, and I know very little about these, but it is absolutely beautiful and as close to mint as it could be short of being on a showroom floor its whole life. I would really like to get this to a collector who would appreciate it, but don' know where to start or what it is worth. Anybody?

Wow, That is beautiful. While ebay is going to bring the most money. Unless your willing to Crate it up and Ship it, It might not bring the BEST money. I really would try ebay. That machine is tuff to price it falls into a limited collectable category. Im guessing it runs just as good as it looks?

Thats for trying to conserve that fine cherry

It does run as good as it looks!! Unfortunately the headlight was dammaged right before I purchased it. It could use a new chrome ring and lense, but the light still works great. The stickers look excellent, and the tires look brand new. There is still much of the original plastic that covered the seat when it was purchased new left poking out from under the seat if you look closely. There are a few small scratches in the paint o145464n the rear fenders. I might try the ebay thing, if someone was willing to pay my gas, I would throw it in the back of my minivan and deliver it myself. I have done it before :-) Of course I am still trying to figure out what this fine machine is even worth. P.S. will someone please tell me if the tires that are on this are ballon tires or something different. They definately feel like ballons when you are riding it.

I purchased a 1978 about four months ago in san diego in very similar shape to yours(maybe a few more scratches) for $500. If this bike truly hasn't been restored I think it is worth some more. My bike also has the plastic bits under the seat. btw I am a collector.:D I am interested in this bike for the right price.

i restored a '77 atc90 a little over a year ago, i think i have about 600. into it, including what i paid for it, would never sell it for that though, it's a nice putter for the antique power shows that i go to.

Well, to be honest I had it pegged as being worth a little more. If the value lies in the 4-600.00 range then I will probably keep it for myself. It would not take much to restore it and I have grown pretty fond of it.

I'd put it at the 6-800 range, Might go for more on ebay.

If it was the 70-73 model in that original condition you could get a lot more for it. Not taking anything from this machine ( it is nice ), but I'm thinking $800 tops ( just my Opinion ). If you do list it on ebay you should fix the headlight before you do so. Machines that need even slight repairs bring far less than those that don't.

I agree, fix the headlight and pop it on ebay. I would say expect $750+ out of it, topping around $850-900 if you find the right buyer. I have seen ACT70s go for $1500 before, so keep that in mind. I have a 1978 90, not that good of shape though :(.

Sorry guys it is sold. looks like I could have got the higher end of the estimated 6-800 out of it. I saw it on craigslist in Camdenton mo. The lady's parents had bought it new in 1977 when she was 2. she had it her whole life and put it on craigslist about a month ago for 200 obo. I saw it immediate, drove down and gave 175.00 for it. It has been fun!

1st off welcome ! I / Like you ,am no forum/ internet guru. What you did here is called hijacking a thread. In other words you should have started your OWN thread w your issue. You're forgiven this time though! You take off the cotter keys, and loosen the two nuts like a bike. Should fall right off! If it's not, report back.
