I just picked up a new (to me) Carl Heald Super Tryke.
I am sure some of you guys saw this on ebay.
I picked it up yesterday in Sackets Harbor, NY.
Was a loooong day of driving, but made it up there and back in one day.
The dude that sold it to me let me start it up and drive it around before I loaded it up.
This baby flies. It has a 14 hp Briggs & Stratton horizontal shaft opposed twin with electric start.
The thing fired right up and hauled ass. It has a brand new torque converter and a new battery too.
All the electrics work..... hell, everything works.
And for some reason, the guy even knocked $50 off the price once I got there.
When this thing idles it sounds like a small block Chevy.
I don't know why everyone else passed this thing up, I'm just glad they did.
Its fun as hell to ride. But that GREEN has GOT TO GO!

The guy even had a video of it running posted on youtube:

I've seen one of these that had a disc brake setup instead of band brakes on the axles.
I'd like to put hydraulic discs on this one as well. Anyone know where to get a brake setup that would work on this thing?
Can anyone tell me how much of this thing is stock and what, if anything has been modified?
Anyone know what color it was when stock?
I'm sure it wasn't this lime green.
And how am I going to get the paint off this engine...... soda blasting, paint stripper, pressure washing?
Does anyone make reproduction Super Tryke stickers, or does anyone have a good pic of the sticker so I can have one made?
