I'm not sure how this popped into my head, one drunken night. But I thought I'd share it with ya. I was looking @ the oxidized plastics for my Tecate's, and thought what would happen if I heated the plastic with a heat gun? So I did it! Remember I was drinking. I got some of the spots too hot, and it kinda put a burn color into the puddles. Start @ a distance with the heat gun, and slowly get closer. You'll notice the plastic beginning to turn a brighter color. You gotta really watch what your doing! I've done this numerous times now, for friends. ALL were very satisfied of the results.:Bounce:Bounce:Bounce

Also does it scratch as easy as the dulled plastic?

This method is fairly known and it does work you just need to be very careful about not over heating any spots.

Your just melting the surface. This is the reason you need to be carefull. I have a front fender that needs to be done. I'll post pictures later. It is so worht the effort!

good idea, and another way is wet sanding and buffing, this gives you a bit more control on the finish.
