'84 ATC 200x Technical Questions

Hello all. Im new to the site but like what Ive seen so far

I got a question on suspension. Ive got my uncles 200x he bought new. I am a bigger guy at 6' 2" and 265 lbs. I love riding my x and ride her frequently but when i get on it, she drops about 4 inches. Can a guy get a heavier spring/shock for it? I dont jump it continuously but i ride in some hills and she sees some air. Just wondering if theres something I can do to stiffen it up just a bit and keep it from bottoming out so easy.

Tighten the 2 spanner nuts down on top of the shock and see if that helps . If not look for a HD rear shock spring .

There is a first gen 200X shock on e-bay right now with an HD spring on it....I doubt the seller even knows it. I think hes asking $55 BIN with free shipping.

you could also try a 350x rear shock it is a direct bolt in

I think you have to modify the lower mounting link to use the 350X shock....someone on here makes them.
