atc 250es front end on atc 200e

I currently have an 82 atc 200e with an 84 atc200s front end. The original suspension was a horrible design onthe 200e's. the 200s's use a smaller tire (22/11/8) I want to go back to a 25 inch tire. Ive found a 250es complete font end. Will the neck from the 250es front end line up with the atc200e steering stem frame? And if so, why are the bearing part numbers different?

The only thing you may have to change is the stem bearings, I know you have to when swapping the 200x front end on the 250SX, but that should be it. What are your plans for the 200s front end you're taking off...I may be inetersted if it's decent.

the 200s front end is in perfect condition, i rebuild the forks, new seal, still need the boots though, new headlamp, new bearings, seal, brake shows, new tire and i tubed it to extra protection. I just want to make sure the 250es front end will be compatible with the 200e frame. Reason being, ive checked the OEM and a few after market bearing parts numbers between the 2 models, and they dont match up like all theo ther models bearings do, so im a bit hessitant to get the 250es front end

If all you're looking for is a 25" tire on the front, you could run a 200m front suspension too...it's the same design as the 200s but runs the tire you need. The only thing you would loose are the mounts for the headlight guard. The stearing stem would be a direct replacement to what you have now.

yea, i know the 200m and the 200 front ends with the suspension will fit with the 25 in wheel, but they are both a hard to find. Thats why i was asking is a 250es front end will bolt up to the neck or not, cuz they are easier to find and much more common

I put a 250sx front-end on my 200s but I had to cut the front neck down because the 250sx stem wasn't as long . definitely some modifications need to be done . goodluck
