I don't see the video in your post, but I have seen TWO of these surface on the boards lately. Sounds like a scary ride lol

I have seen the few, but nothing worth while yet... saddly, this is probably one of the "cleaner" built ones.

I'd love to see that thing wound out! I didn't catch the owners name, was it Cletus or Cooter?

Actually a pretty clean conversion for a backyarder.

He needs some rear brakes, and he should switch over to the 89 swinger since he has no center case for the swingarm to go around now.

I dont see that running very cool.. And get rid of the damn boost bottle.

And get rid of the damn boost bottle.

I don't know what you are talking about Mosh...Boost bottles are KEY in making good HP out of a banshee... Yep, a boost bottle and one of them blue power bands, maybe some reed spacers...70 horse EASY!:lol::lol::crazy:

I would imagine changing the front wheel to a leading axle would make the handling awful.

I read a post from Jason hall. He demonstrated how raising or lowering your rear suspension mount, it wiil change the angle of the rake.

Thats how I set my 350RX on the lower mount with an angle finder on my fork tubes. If I flipped the forks it would certainly not like turning :lol

I like it pretty good work for what he was working with, if ya ask me. looks like he just built something to go fast if you ask me not a show trike.

Only thing that bothered me on that vid was how high he revved it right after starting it! Hope that engine was warm.... Sheesh.

would have to agree on that being a pretty clean "poor man" or "backyard" swap.

:wondering zmpolaristech i don't get it, what's so funny? his accent? shens

the accent...Yes. The in frame drag pipes flipped to the opposite sides to be run like oof drag pipes...with NO stingers, and his brilliant idea of flipping the front forks around for more length, but nobody told him dat, he cummed up wit it all on is owne.

well, the 250r is one thing, making fun of the way someone talks is another. to each his own i guess.

now this is what i'd call having fun with a Banshee motor. i'd be a little hesitant to open it up myself at first, but sure looks like it'd be a blast even if it is a quad.

^^^ A+++ on the build, F for the rider. ^^^

Can we get somebody who can ride on that thing please?!? I want to see what it can do! YAMAHONDAMAN

agreed F for the rider, but seeing that thing run all out would be a treat. :beer

EDIT: looks like Kasey, Mart or Veal may have to step their game up a little.

i took a 95 trx 90 and did a real nice jhob on building a stock 250r motor into it and that thing itself was downright nasty, and verry sketchy even with wider a arms and axle on it

yep, the banshee engine in the 70 takes the cake.....I just want to know, WHY?

Seriously???? Not to be preachy but here goes anyway... No brain bucket riding a Banshee powered anything is a little off-kilter.. let alone a Banshee powered 70?? That thing has got to be reaaaal twitchy.

Jon Boy
05-07-2012, 08:32 PM
why? well why not? big motor stuffed in the smallest machine, that sounds like the American way to me. :beer
i'm guessing you've never really rode a 70, especially with a big motor (i've yet to ride a big motor 70). then again maybe you have. the small machines just aren't the thing for some people. i love the little guys, but my buddy won't have anything to do with them.

yeah, I have ridden a handfull of the REDICULOUS 70s. They are a RIOT, but they have their place. I like fast toys as much, if not MUCH more, than your average guy, but I want to go FAST and still feel "safe"...safe, like, having a reasonable amount of control and rideability over varied terrain. I assure you that 70-shee is niether!

Jon Boy, you misunderstood my comment. I can totally see the fun in building ridiculous Frankenstein machines... I just think it's a little nutsy brappin around with no gear on... That's all. That 70-Shee IS a cool little hot-rod! :beer

i understood your comment Ride Red, i don't think you were being preachy and i totally agree. i wouldn't get on that thing without some protection. i was answering zmpolaristech. :beer

I'm surprised no one said anything about the rear fenders on the 250r-banshee! Don't look stock to me! Why cut OEM fenders
