Sounds like you may have a float sticking open in your carb! I had this problem with my 350X and NO amount of carb cleaning would resolve the problem! I had it completely apart to clean it and still nothing! Did a carb rebuild on it and it fired right up first kick and has purred like a kitten ever since!

Try a new plug

open up the drain screw in the bowl immediately after it quits to see if any fuel comes out if none does then it is your float
if fuel comes out plentiful check your your electronics by hitting them with some heat one by one while its running if its bad a CDI or coil the machine will quit when they get warm or hot
some work fine when there cold but cut out as soon as they get warm or hot

You are cleaning and reusing the same plug? Try a new one in it and see what happens, once they foul out cleaning doesn't really work.

Hey off topic....I have an 83-84 ATC 250R stock tank in descent shape if you or anyone needs one. Good luck with your carb issue, these guys got you on the right track.
