Thinking of getting a Suzuki 230 Quad sport to go with 250sx

I rode around my friends 85 Suzuki lt 230 and it rode great. I'd like to have both a quad and a trike and decide which to take out depending on how i feel. There are 2 for sale here in CT. An 86 for $1200 and an 88 for $1200. Are these reliable trikes? Are they worth it. Will i be bored on a 230? I haven't rode many quads so i'm not a good judge but it seemed to have good shock travel and good speed. I don't really want to spend much more than the 1000-1500 price range.

I like the 230 but if you can spend up to 1500 then try to find a 350 yamaha warrior, good all around bikes and they have basically used the same bike for the last 13 years so there are plenty of parts are there. just a suggestion not trying to tell you what to do, just my honest opinion.

Those 230 quads are alot of fun - but back in the day they were not very reliable. If I could grab one for 700$ or so I would but then again newer is better and 300EX quads are reasonable too. If your talking four stroke - If your up for a 2 stroke I would never hesitate to buy a Blaster. My fiance' has one and we did it over and it just runs and runs and it very user friendly - but the power is there when you need it too. Not to mention that there are so many used Blaster and or high performance parts it's crazy!!

Grab a cheap Zuki or try something else - just my .02c
