Ok so I got my swinger bolt out without the nightmare many have:D. I bought the plastic bushings from the 3WW shop and have a question ONLY for those who have installed and used them also.
When installing them, I have a little gap and the swinger slides a little side-to-side on the bolt. Obviously, you can't torque to 80 ft. lbs. like the bearing setup because it isn't solid steel all the way through anymore. So how have you EXPERIENCED people gone about installing yours? Tighten until it binds and back off a little? I try this and feel like I'm bending my swinger mounting brackets in too much and definitely don't want to ruin the R! I have searched for quite a long time to see if anyone had questions or problems like this and not one post found. Here's a couple of pics:
This one shows the gap. It doesn't look like much but there's a gap on the other side of the motor mount also so it just adds to the distance
