funny, yours looks sweet compared to the one my wife had when we were teens! had been through her 2 brothers before she got it! no muffler, no reverse!! we used to have to push her out of the parking space at school!! that thing was louder than a 1200 sporty with straight pipes!! i wouldnt even ride in that pile!!

back in the day my dads first car was a chevette.. and he raced the quaterback of the hs football team on his 86 250r against his new corvette in the 1/4 mile. less to say my dad one and the quaterback got his big linebacker buddies to pick my dads car up and put it between the flag pole and a big tree lol... just a funny story my dad told me when i was growing up

Used to fix those things when I worked in a garage in 84. Anyone else ever had the experience of accidently stepping on the gas and brake at the same time when wearing heavy boots in the winter? There was't much room between the pedals. Almost drove through the back of the garage, lol.

That happens just about ever time I get in it, but mines got the 5speed so I usally end up down shifting a gear or two. its been a pretty sweet.

My uncle had one when I was growing up. My cousin and I would load up his 90 papers that he had for his paper route and on the weekends drive around sitting in the back delivering newspapers.

You just reminded me of another feature that came standard on all "vetts" "NO FAT CHICKS" was a given. The 4 door Nova I had next allowed way too many drunken XXL heffers to get in at closing time.

Who hasn’t? But only "REAL" men can admit it;) I for one proudly claimed the Silver Sow award on more occasions than I should admit. My motto at 1:59am was "Fat chicks are better cuz they've got something to prove!" (code phrase for: “Hot chicks don't dig me”) True or not they all met my closing time qualifications which I'll spare you from.:naughty:

LOL it is very one of my girl friends friend is about 250lbs and she can't get in in less the front seat in all the way back. The last winter was the best, one of my buds is about 300lbs so I would make him sit in the back seat for wheel weight I kid you not that car would go throught more snow then most 4x4 trucks.

I have fond memories of my "Vette" days. My buddy had a newer one and he used a loader to put a pile of snow in front and behind mine at work one day. This made it necessary for me to learn to use the loader to free my Vette. I then rolled down all his windows and buried his car with snow. He had 2" of ice on his floor the rest of the winter:naughty:

It wasn't out first time with that kind of stuff, I'll have to tell you the story of the tape measure, the tool box and the metal shear some day. Back to the "Vettes" did you ever top end yours? For some reason I'm thinking mine couldn't break 140kph.

I had it on the high way one day with the stock tires and the gps said 160kph I was giving it but I still had some more to go, I would have gave it more but it was raining I had crapy tires and my girl friend was setting beside me so I didn't want any bad to happen so I let off. hehe the parking brake light was staying on for alittle bit. 148008

well my week just got a hole lot better
A friend of my dads told me that he seen another white 4door chevette behind a barn a few days ago, long story short I bought another one for $170. It has 70,000km on it, all 8 lower window trims arn't cracked to hell and it fired right up and sounded great for a car that hasn't been ran in 5 years. So I have already pulled the grill and mirror.148191148192148193148194 its to bad that its rusted out. my new motor148195148196148197

Nice, My dads buddy had one. I had a similar hatch nova. We would call them the "rollerskates" when parked by each other. Guess I never got away from the small GM's since I have had this since '07
