 good one flossy.

dang, been a long time since i seen a Kastan. you've done a hellva job on it atctrikes. :beer
always kinda been a GT/Dyno guy really. last one i rebuilt (10yrs? ago) was an '93 Dyno VFR. it was my nephews, then it got stolen. 8yrs later my sister in law (my nephews mom) was out fishing on the river, snagged her line on something and reeled it in. they gave it to me and i cleaned/rebuilt it. talk about things going in a circle.

I was always a huge fan of the old Robinson bikes. I had one that I recently passed down to my little nephew. Fully chromed out with blue hubs and blue grips. Wicked Kastan though you look like you've spent a lot of time on it great job!!

I remember some old school 3 piece cranks fetching close to $1500 on eBay. Wish I could remember the name of them.
I always loved my friends Kuwahara

Hutch cranks will set you back $2000.00 - $3000.00. 1st gen Profile cranks can reach $1500 if they are mint or NOS. My DB Turbo cranks have reached $700 a set. I'm glad I bought 2 sets back in 2002, 2003.

Lol...i was going to say Hutch, but i thought they only made frames..
I know the laws of supply and demand but why are they so pricey? Aren't there alot of companies still making 3 piece cranks?

I thought the same whyzee. I just broke my old haro out last year to ride with my oldest boy and teach him how to jump. Wow, I am not in as good of shape as I thought. I guess married with children will do that to a person, ha ha.

I still have my 1986 Kuwahara Bravo KT. It's all there and I just finished accumulating all of the correctNOS parts that wear out...tires, seat (mine is scraped and faded), pedals, grips, tires, decals, etc.

Does anyone know how to restore white mags? It has white Peregrene Master's on it and they have yellowed with age.

I was a flatland guy back in the mid and late 80s. I rode haros and redlines mostly but i had quite a few other frestyle bikes back then. I was signed by general back when they made a push to go bigger but where i lived i couldnt get to a contest, they had a compete clause.. ohh well, i liked my redline better lol
i still have my 86 rl20 terquoise, all 1st gen parts.. 48s, gyro, dk stem, haro bars, skyline pegs, tech5 levers and sergino 3 piece cranks. I still dust it off every now and then and try a few of the old trick, i can still make kids stop and look but im way old and out of shape now.. lol

I had a Kuwahara in 87-89. Bulls eye hubs, CW bars, Diamond Back Goose neck, expensive 180MM?? cranks. Every dime I had went to that bike. I think I got a couple hundred bucks and I had 1.5K into it. Problem was, they shut down the local track, not enough donations.......

Sold it to buy an 79 RM100 and from there the race was on until the 94 CR250 nearly killed me.

I never had any of the cool bikes back in the day, always built my own out of whatever the old man brought home from the police dept for the town he works for. 2 of my friends always had the coolest stuff. They both had Elfs back in the day, 1 had the double cross, 1 has the single cross. The single cross one is still around the double cross is long gone.

I loved that movie!!! i could go all but 2 flatland tricks in that movie, could never get the pivot point rite to pull off the hip whip (no hand rockwalk) and i didn't have a unicycle drive to do the backwards peddling tricks, but i did get a uni and learn to ride it.. LOL
