Anyone notice the rear plastic? 250r content

I know this always gets everyone over-excited, but shouldn't that rear plastic be red? Is it a maire reproduction? Is it evidence of something that I won't mention (you all know what I'm talking about, but I'm not saying it's one)?

Looks like stock plastic to me. You can still buy them from Maier.

Its an '85 with white maier plastic. Nothing special.
