1985 honda big red 250es questions

in the past year i purchased two big reds. i purchased them from different people. the issue i am coming on right now is i think one of them may have a different motor. i am thinking it might be an sx motor but they should be the same...no?
one of them has a nut on the side of the case saying increase and decrease for adjusting the clutch. the other does not. the one without it, next to the shifter, shows:

I have not looked at the shifter on the one with an adjustment, but could i may have two different big reds? or just motors? and how could i find out what motor is on it?

is there a pastic cover on the other big red covering that up ? the 250es have a kick start as does the 250sx. the big red engine is silver and the sx is black.. any other 200 big red will have a pull cord.. good luck
