I wonder if there is a complete Nicholson 500 for sale in the catalog or just the frame.

Nicholson haters need not reply....but for all of you who want a clue as too how bad arse a designer builder he is and how extremely important he was in our genre....he was the first manufacturer of ATC aftermarket frames....put that in your vacuum of authority timeline and smoke it for a bit

not that im saying you arent sure yours is a nick......But, jut in general for others....... several companies made conversion kits...as well.

Mike Coe's brother Sam made frames too...you typiclly see each fabracators signature work in the swinger/rear engine mounts, front down tube (reenforcing/no reenforcing) front lower cradle, foot pegs, and of course material used etc...

Because of the availability of the rear kits and costs involved....fulll Nick 185 frames are most likely more rare than the Nick 500 chassis

I say who ever gets this I think should copy it and sell It be in for itit wont be original and knowing how great sunsetwed is as a seller and how close he is with Nick, I wouldn't put it pass him to send it out signed and personalized if the new owner wishes...thats just a few of many reasons for its value

Which Johnsons atc catalog? Is it the catalog that lists the electric start kit for the atc90????? What really needs to happen, is some people with these catalogs, need to get together and, for lack of a better term, make up a timeline. It would be an ongoing project, that would have to be updated every time more info would come out. Say if someone found an older catalog that had certain frames or parts or didn't have certain frames or parts. It would probably be a logistical nightmare to keep track of, but it would be very informative for those who like the atc90 items. But then again, I'm a goof with issues. LOL

Johnsons bug and later bug and ATC was a retail/aftermarket/repair store and not the first for ATC's.....first ATC retail/aftermarket/repair would be Smitty's

So Johnsons sold bug parts as well. Very interesting. The old hot vw's mags had info on occasion about trikes. Especially the sand issues.

148526148527148528148529148530That seat on the Nicholson 185s, is acutally a Hi Flite seat for the later model 185s/200s tank. The Hi Flite seat for the early 185s tank is narrower through the nose piece where it sits up on the tank and fits much nicer. Here are some pics of my front forks. Please note that the forks are turned around backwards in these pics but they have since been turned around the correct way.
