I paid $150 for mine with a locked up engine and sold the gas tank for $220 plus $35 shipping. So if anyone buys this you can recoupe most of your money just on the gas tank.

I don't know much about the Polaris stuff. But why are the gas tanks worth so much?

I'm not sure. I checked what they were bringing on ebay and price mine accordingly. And someone bought it. My guess is, it seems most are faded and discolored. Just imagine what a Tecate tank that was not discolored would bring.

I should have specified a green tank, The red ones dont discolor all the way through like the greens. I sent my red Tecate tank to Mr Clean for some polishing. It looks amazing now, but that's not even an option for the green tanks.

Just imagine what a Tecate tank that was not discolored would bring. atv innovations sold an 86 tank not too long ago that was super nice,I think it went for 800.00 or so
