Ebay! I'm buying a set for my R to. I may buy from this guy http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-TriZ-Tri-Z-250-YZ-ytz-250-FORK-SHOCK-BOOTS-/310418592850?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item484663d452#ht_711wt_1398

I've got a few pairs from this guy...the material is softer, a bit thicker and more flexable. The Red is a bit brighter than org but after 20+yrs the org boots have become stiff and crack....the difference in color isn't enough to make me not like em. I'm not one to build an all OEM machine...I buy what works to or better than stock. Good guy to deal with, and he loves putting his stuff on the old machines.

I got my tri-z boots from him a couple months ago. Seem to be good. I know shipping is expensive but the packaging was a glob of packing tape and notebook paper.

Mine came in a flat rate box in sealed plastic bags, but I ordered 2sets a year ago. To me shipping anything costs too much, and most of the time its over the price of the parts shipped. Guess thats the biggest downfall of this Vintage/resto hobbie and sport.

You might have just been unlucky. Mine were in a box, packed well, Wrapped in a sealed bag. Look great on the fat cat
