Anybody have any idea what year this thing is? The guy that i bought it from told me what year he thought it was, but i'll wait to tell everybody after i hear your guys opinion. I can't find a sticker or anything on it telling the year. I have the vin #, but that ain't telling me much. Thanks guys.

Yamaha's dont have stickers i think.. the vin will tell you what year it is.. right in the front of trailprotrailpro clymer manual...

I'm taking a wild guess,1999. From the looks of it,it was not well taken care of.

Just from plastic color alone, I will guess a 2002 model because I ride with a couple and the wife rides a blue 2002. If it truely is a 2002 someone should have they're arse kicked for cheating a quad so bad. Some people have more $$ than brains.

LMAO@EX! The guy told me that it was a 96 model. The search continues....

I would of guessed '99 model by looking at the plastic.

that banshee is a 2002 the 10th diget of the vin tells you the year. 2000 was the last year for the year id to be a letter, then they switched to numbers.

Thanks bansheeboy and welcome to the boards. If it's a 02 model, they definitly didn't take care of it. I bought it with the motor in a box..lol. Crank was down and a melted piston. After putting a new crank in and getting it bored and all, i noticed the back of the water pump gear had broke off and she quit pumping water. No wonder it blew. It's all back together now and runs great. Not bad for 400 bucks huh? LOL.
