ATC185s new carburetor help please?

Hi y'all! Time for stupid girl questions... My new carburetor just got here! What kind of prepping do I need to take care of? Or, can I just install it as is and start up my beastie? Thanks!

Does the old carb work? If it does start it up get warm. Shut it off put new carb and give a try.

Dont need much prepping. shut gas off and take a picture or two for reference if needed..
