Yeah it is the origanal frame. Its 3/16" channel which is what most frames are made of so it should hold up.

Sweet! This is my dads 1948 F4. He used to have license on it in the late 70s. Its restricted to yard use hauling fire wood now. Original flat head V8 and non-syncronized 4-speed transmission.

And the engine mounts still have alot of gussets yet to be put in place. I really need to get this thing rolling again so i can get ready to head back to school.

Got it finally sitting on its own weight. Rides high but nothing i can do about it with leaf springs. Frame twists alot but the cage will fix that. Has the engine and trans in it in the pics. It is a flat belly rig, notice how the engine/trans do not hang below the frame rails.

12 hours of work and its all together minus rocker arms, oil pickup and a few small things. But the important parts are good. Checked everything known to man in the clearence department. Everything checked out good. Tired as hell but here are some pics. Also picked up some new 42" TSLs for it. The these are made in 09'.

Sweet build! Too bad it's not a Chevy! These old girls are always eye catchers where ever ya go and no matter how they look. Love the big tires under them bubble fenders. I'd like to put a cab over on a Jeep chassis one of these days.
