Hey guys i posted on here before im new to the forum and new to a honda atc. Came with 22-11-8 tires and a extra set of 25-12-9 hubs on the rim.
Is it hard to repalce the hubs from the 8 to the 9? Any special tools needed that i need to know about? Thanks for all your input. I forgot to say that i picked up some tires that are 22-11-9 and the ones that came with the atc were 22-11-8. And i want to put the 22-11-9 on the 25-12-9 .

what is your ATC model/year/etc? Hard to give advice without knowing those critical details....

You say you have an extra set of 25-12-9 hubs on the rim? I don't get that. I think you mean you have 25-12-9 wheels on an extra set of hubs?

if your hubs are stock, then the bolt pattern is 4/110.
if the hubs are already attached to the 25-12-9 wheels then just take your current set of wheels off and see if the other set works. Do you have a picture of the set of hubs you want to use...detached from the wheel? I can tell you if they are 185s stock hubs or not.

Also, No special tools are needed. Just a large enough socket to take the castle nut off the axle.

yep those are stock hubs, bolt pattern should be 4/110. Slide the wheels you want to use over those hubs, but take that plate off first (the ring under the nuts) and see if they fit.

You'll need to get another rope and read the thread below.

Here is a youtube video of re-winding your spring. Its not your specific make, but its the same principal.

Also getting a manual would probably help you a ton.

looked over the video but the service menuals dowt work mine looks like this and this is where im stuck i cant pull out where the roap sits in. Unless this is a different setup i was told its a 1984 honda atc 185s i was under the impression that the center is supposed to come right out

Try the thread above. On page two of the thread there is a youtube video posted by justben. See if that thread/video helps.

that whole center piece should lift out from the housing according to my manual

it doesn't look to me like you have anything left to remove. is the rope pull all the way in the housing? Have you tried to pull out that entire center piece?

Update: Took everything apart figured it out ill be posting pictures of the process and if anyone can tell me how do i clean the whole thing seems really dirty whats a good way of cleaning it what can i use and are there any sprays that lube it up for smooth pulling. Now off to the store to get new tires mounted and get some new rope.

Stock bolt pattern on the 185s is 4/130mm.

The stock 4/110mm hubs were on 200x's, 250r's and 350x's.

The hubs in the picture are 4/130mm.

thanks.... kinda bummed out had everything put back together started right up. Went to put the hub on and it seems loose looks like the teeth on it arent very deep. So back to having flats in the back. The ones on there dont move at all they are tight but these ones seem loose i can kinda move them
