What are my easy engine swap options on an 85 tri-z? Ive read that a YZ250 from the 80's will work. But what years specifically. Also I read that the cr250 engine is an easy swap. I'd like to keep it yamaha though. I have access to an 01 YZ250 engine for cheap. How easy or hard is this swap. Im a heavy truck mechanic by trade, so a little fab work is no biggie. Im not all that great of a welder though. Any insight will be helpful.
