? About carb jets

I just got a new carb for my 185 Honda but the choke is running backwards. Someone said it might have the wrong jets or clogged jets. Did not notice choke was backward when I first got it so I will clean the jet and see how it runs. Someone told me some of these carbs on eBay have the wrong jet in them. Has any one else had these problem?

Do a search on it. What do you mean the choke is backwards?

It running off the choke. When choke is up it runs but cut out in high rev. When choke is down or open it dies.

clean your jets and passages. also make sure your jet needle is clean and not getting stuck.

If it runs differently depending on the choke, you almost certainly have a clogged slow jet. is it slow to return to idle too?
