Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of a 200x atc? how much are they generally worth?

They are worth whatever you will pay for it when it comes down to it..

TBH, I love mine, I have ridden many different models in the past and I feel the X models are the best mix for trail riding and beating on it. The 4 stroke runs predictably smooth enough to be comfortable during easy, leisure riding and they can be snappy enough to throw you off the back when you git on it showing off for the ladies. Haha

Would I buy more? I plan on it.

Like any Atc the most problem you will find is finding parts for your trike and depending on the year. as for how much there worth is quite hard to answer with out any pictures or details of the bike

Whoa whoa whoa there.. Did you say pros and cons? I see only Pros in mine! I love it! Really there is no down side in my opinion. In fact, Monday night I was riding with my cousin and wanted to try this puddle next to the mud we were riding in. Sure enough, I went in the whole and it ended up coming up to the seat. I stalled it and couldn't start it so with my knees resting against the handle bars and feet on the pegs, I grabbed a hold of my 250r and my cousin pulled me about .25 miles through very rugged terrain. It even fell over once while going across a small hill. Got back to the road and it started like a champ. In fact, Im going riding again tonight and tomorrow night and I love my 200x. Even more than my 84' 250r in fact. :p

I would love a reverse gear, but what the 200x was designed for there was no need for one. That's the only con I can think of.

Pro: Everything. Light, snappy, fast enough to keep the adults happy.
Con: They are not being made anymore. Frames prone to cracking at lower tube if beaten upon. They are now a minimum of 25 years old and have usually been beat for a good number of those years.

Pros= Full suspension, manual clutch, kickstarter (very manly) everything else is great too.
Cons= I dont have a slipping kickstarter, Everything works great. After a while the power isn't enough. Thats when you contact Mickey Dunlop. (4 stroke tech)

any thing before 86 is a pig. i had a 85 with a 10.25 comp piston and cam, my stock 86 would walk all over it.
the suspension before 86 is weak at best. i'm not saying that pre 86 is bad just lacking.

After owning quads, dirtbikes and snowmobiles I needed a change. I got 2 200x's and really enjoy them. Granted they're not that fast, they don't have great suspension but they are a ton of fun to ride around on. I get sick of riding my Brute force, it's got power and 4wd and that seems to take the enjoyment out of it. Bopping around on the X bottoming out, pushing it out of being stuck and crusing makes me want to sell all of my toys and convert to all three wheelers!

Only con, in my opinion, is lack of power. When I was a kid I LOVED my 200X. I had an '84 and rode the wheels off of it. After getting my '83 205R with a Hondaline 300 kit I never went back to 4-strokes : )
