I have an 84 200es and the forks are shot. looking for a replacment but turns out that exact fork is slim pickings.

Are there any other bolt on compatible front forks that will fit? 200s? 200x?

I know that most other forks will not have the headlight and rack mount for it but id figure i would cut off the shot fork and weld on the new.

any help would be great.

Thanks!

Your best bet here is to find a 200m (84-85) front end....uses the same tire/rim, with the much better style shocks...direct bolt on. The part you may have trouble finding is the front fender...not too many floating around in good shape, and they are specific to that model only. The headlights are the same, but you'll need the 200m mounts to do so. If you have any other questions about this conversion, PM me, I've done it a few times. You can also find the same style front rack for the 200m, so you won't loose that look of the BR.
