My cousin's husband has an Odyssey he's willing to let go for $50. Just about everything is there except for the motor, but my buddy has one. Not sure on the year, but I know it is 81-84 because it has the full roll cage and hard tail. Frame is straight, but I don't know about rust. I read on Wiki to watch for rust behind the seat. I think some of the hand controls are missing and the seat is gone. Is it worth a shot if the frame is in buildable shape? I know it is tough to tell without pics, but it's $50 and you don't see them down here. How hard are parts to find? Are there any parts that I need to make absolutely sure are there because I won't be able to find them?

Thanks for any input.

Is that the gokart? If anything went wrong you could probably scrap it for more than $50 so sure. :pics:

Also, this should probably be in Quad Central.

Yea, it's the gokart. I didn't even think about putting it in the wrong section. My bad. Somebody feel free to move it. I went and looked at my buddy's motor and it is missing the head and pull start. I wonder how hard those are to find.

They're a lot of fun. We had 2 when I was growing up.

Maier makes fenders for them in yellow and red. The original plastic footwells are not reproduced. The fuel pumps fail and people convert them to gravtiry feed to the tanks are moved or missing.

Have fun!

They have front suspension not much but they do have some. I picked one up the other day myself for a future project always thought they looked like a blast too. Had to have one.

I went ahead and got it. Like somebody said, it is at least worth $50 in scrap. Looks like a money pit though lol. Sorry no pics. It has a lot of parts, put also some redneck engineering to the frame. I'm still deciding on whether to part it out or build it when I finish my 300r. It's the only one I've ever seen around here, so I had to grab it. Might put a feeler out and see if anybody needs parts then decide what to do.
