both bikes run. one been sitting up for 20 years and don't know much about the other but it runs. what mods work best on these little machines. I know one has a 185s cam but the one with little cam will out run the other. want to make one fast and reliable and the other one fast and? ??

I thing the pics went that time. I'm thinking about a cam, high comp piston, and exuast. may polish the exuast port

The picture of the one without the seat cover on it has an 83 motor in it. Don't know about the frame and other components, but you can tell by the kicker that the motor is an 83

Below is a link to my profile and some good articles on modifying or maintaining the 200x.

:wonderingthe kicker could have been swapped, i like that style and have changed all my 200x , :D. i would just clean them up and check all the bearings ,then ride! high comp leads to broken kicker!! good score , how much?:wondering:D

Take a picture of the right footpeg mount. Next to where the brake master is located. That will also let me know what year it is.

I looked and you was right about the 82. had paint on it. the other one says 84. will post pic. the frame that I got with the 82 was a 85 frame. the guy changed the swing arm. the one that was under it was a round tube swing arm. I will try change my post. thank you for the tip. I never knew that. I never knew some were 6 speed until I got on here. that the why I joined.
