I just joined this site yesterday and man is it cool to see all these trikes again! I just picked up a 1986 KLT185 for $200. Runs great, starts first pull, tires good, brakes all work, lights, plastic a bit rough, airbox has been bastardized to all hell and the gas tank looks to have been cut apart, inside of tank coated, welded back together, and someone failed with their bondo skills in smoothing it back out. Anyways....thanks for having me!

Even if it is a bit rough that's a great deal! I've been looking for a 160 or 185 for a while now and haven't found one at all within a reasonable distance.

Its all luck. My 75 yr old neighbor bought this 3 months ago and must have tucked it away behind his garage because I had no idea he had it. He comes up to me and says he moving to Florida and do I want to buy his 3 wheeler. I said I dont know, and he says just make me an offer. I said $200 and now its parked on the other side of the fence. I have noticed that parts for these are hard to find but I look forward to the challenge.

Welcome to the site and the KLT club. I happen to have a nice 1986 KLT110. I love that trike. I took it riding on Monday. I happen to have a nice red tank if you are interested. $90 shipped to your front door. There is a wealth of knowledge on this site.

If yours is in good shape you got a decent deal.

Yeah...I found this and save it to my favorites for when I first got the KLT I needed to change the oil, plug and tranny fluid and had no idea what the bike used until I found this.

Thanks,

Chris
