I am looking for a pivot bolt for a 1984 250r. I have tried all my resources and just can't get it out
without cutting it. I seen some threads from a few years back of some members machining new ones of stainless steel but that was 4 years ago.

I am in the same boat, just got an 84 yesterday that is missing the bolt as well. Thinking about ordering a longer bolt from fastenal, and finding a bushing to go over the exposed threads for the brake pedal. Hope it works. Good luck, and let me know if you find two!

I have a quick cheep solution! I used it on my 84 becasue i had the same problem and had to cut it out, the front axel is the right diameter, its the same as the original pivot bolt, but there is one spacer on it that has to be taken off, I heated the spacer up and hammered it off and slid the bolt through and it sticks out on the other side just enough to get a trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotr ailpro nut(non nylon locking nut) on it. I will post a picture tomorrow

I have a late 80's trx 250r pivot bolt that I have heard will work on some 250r's, not sure which ones, but the brake pedal is attached to it so if it will work for either of you let me know, I will sell it for cheap
